On Thursday October 11 at approximately 5:40 p.m. the Brewster Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Satucket Road in the vicinity of Canoe Pond Road. On arrival members found a vehicle rolled over on its passenger side with the occupant partially ejected and trapped. Based on the potential for severe traumatic injury a MedFlight helicopter was requested to respond to transport the patient to a licensed trauma hospital. Brewster firefighters immediately initiated vehicle and patient stabilization and utilized air bags to lift the car to allow for the rapid extrication of the injured party. Upon removal the patient was transported by ground to the landing zone at Drummer Boy Park where the flight crew flew the victim to Tufts University Hospital in Boston.
