Brewster Fire/Rescue recently took delivery of a 2019 Ford Explorer XLT that replaced a 2010 model. The vehicle is used on a daily basis by the Captain assigned to the Fire Prevention Bureau. It carries his personal protective equipment and a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) along with emergency medical equipment such as an AED and first in bag. Storing this fire and emergency medical equipment in the vehicle allows the Captain to respond to incidents when he is out conducting his daily inspectional duties resulting in more rapid response times and upon his arrival immediate on scene assistance. Brewster Fire/Rescue thanks the Select Board, Finance Committee, and our residents for supporting the replacement of this essential first response vehicle.
