Brewster Fire/Rescue Training

On Thursday September 27 members of the Brewster Fire Department performed on-duty training utilizing the department’s new training tower. Firefighters deployed attack lines from the internal standpipe system to suppress a simulated fire in the second floor smoke room of the tower while other members utilized the aerial ladder to practice vent/enter/isolate/search techniques that are used to quickly enter a burning structure to search for and rescue trapped occupants. Department members are extremely excited and look forward to improving their hands-on firefighting knowledge and skills and their ability to serve the community through the use of this new state-of-the-art training facility. Thank you residents of Brewster!
