Brewster Fire Station Project Update

The Brewster Fire & Rescue Department would once again like to thank our residents for approving the construction of a new facility for our organization. To ensure you are provided the most current information regarding the project we are establishing this “running” project timeline on the home page of our website. Please feel free to contact Chief Moran at 508-896-7018 should you have any questions regarding the provided information.
  • November 16, 2015: at a Special Town meeting residents approve the proposed construction project by the required two/thirds majority.
  • December 1, 2015: a town wide ballot election (vote) is held and the community approves the project.
  • December 7, 2015:The Board of Selectmen approves the development of an ad-hoc building committee for the fire station project along with the responsibilities of the proposed committee.
  • December 14, 2015: .The Board of Selectmen approves the size (5) and “charge” or responsibilities of the fire station building committee CLICK HERE. The Board also publicly announces the opportunity for residents to serve as a committee member along with the corresponding application process.
  • January 11, 2016: The Brewster Board of Selectmen choose the Fire Station Building Committee. The five members of our community who will be responsible for overseeing the construction project are; Robert Miller, Ralph Ingegneri, Charles Sumner, Hayley Winfield, and Herb Montgomery..
  • On February 2: The Town of Brewster hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for a major construction project that will deliver a modern, state-of-the-art fire headquarters to the Brewster Fire/Rescue Department in May of 2018.
