Brewster Fire Department Responds to Serious Motor Vehicle Collision

On Friday March 23 at 3:41 p.m. the Brewster Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Millstone Road and Cliff Pond Drive for a reported motor vehicle collision with a vehicle on fire and multiple injuries. Orleans Deputy Chief Geoff Deering arrived on scene and confirmed a single car motor vehicle accident with the car off the road into a tree and well involved in fire. Prior to his arrival the three injured occupants had self-extricated and were awaiting arrival of emergency services.
Brewster Deputy Chief Kevin Varley arrived on scene and assumed command. Brewster Engine 239 arrived to extinguish the vehicle fire while personnel from Ambulance 242 began to triage and treat the occupants all of whom had non-life threatening injuries. Due to the number of patients requiring transport to Cape Cod Hospital the Harwich and Orleans Fire Departments were requested to the scene to assist with transport services. The accident remains under investigation by the Brewster Police Department.
