On Saturday October 7 the Brewster Fire Department hosted a community Open House to kick off the start of Fire Prevention Week. We use these events as principal instruments to establish and support relationships within the community, showcase our equipment, and deliver important fire safety messages to our residents and visitors.
Some of the highlights of the day included interactive demonstrations on the use of firefighter’s personal protective gear, hands-on application of brush fire attack lines, distribution of fire safety education literature, and displays of EMS life-saving equipment. Hot dogs, popcorn, and other refreshments were provided free of charge by the Brewster Fire/Rescue Association throughout the day.
Our organization would like to thank all of our residents and visitors who took the time to visit fire headquarters to learn more about the professional services we offer, our equipment, fire safety, and our personnel who provide high quality, efficient services to the community.
