Brewster Office of Emergency Management Hosts Table Top Exercise

On June 29, 2017 the Brewster Office of Emergency Management hosted our fifth annual table top exercise at the Captain’s Golf Course Pavilion.  Attendees included members of our Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and a select group of emergency response partners including surrounding Town Health Agencies, School nursing staff members, MEMA, Visiting Nurses Association, Barnstable County Incident Management Team (IMT), and Barnstable County Emergency Management.

The exercise, which was developed by the Brewster Health Department in cooperation with staff members of the Horsley-Witten Group involved the local and regional response to a norovirus outbreak originating in the Town of Brewster. During the program each of the participants outlined their organizations individual response capabilities and available resources which allowed the group to develop a proactive robust strategic plan that could be employed should an event of this nature occur.

The Office of Emergency Management would like to thank all of the individuals and groups who participated in the table top exercise and the Horsley-Witten Group for developing the scenario and moderating this exciting training program.
