Brewster Fire Department Responds to Storm Damage

n Monday September 5 at 1:53 p.m. Engine 234 under the direction of Captain Anthony Dalmau responded to a reported tree into a residence with structural damage at 66 Gould Road. On arrival units found a large branch from a storm damaged tree had fallen and penetrated the roof and interior ceiling of the home. The Captain immediately requested additional assistance to the scene and to cover headquarters in the event of additional responses. Crews quickly secured the utilities, cut and removed the large section of tree from the home, and covered the opening to reduce any further water damage. Car 231 (Chief Moran), the Towns Emergency Management Director also responded to the scene and assisted the homeowner with locating a restoration company to provide an immediate temporary repair to the damaged roof.
