Brewster Firefighter Chad Foakes Participates in Special Olympics Torch Run

The 10th annual Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run was held on Thursday June 9. During the run local police officers take turns carrying the torch from Provincetown to Bourne. The event typically starts at 5 a.m. and travels mostly along Route 6A through a number of Cape communities before reaching Bourne at approximately 5 p.m. This year Brewster Firefighter/Paramedic Chad Foakes was one of the runners who carried the Torch through our community. Our department commends members of the Brewster Police for running in this event every year and thanks them for providing our personnel the opportunity to participate in this very important fund raising partnership.
