Brewster Firefighters Travel to Boston for Firefighter Michael Kennedy’s Funeral

On Thursday April 3, a contingent of Brewster Firefighters accompanied by former Mount Kisco (NY) Fire Chief Ralph Ingegneri traveled to Boston to attend the funeral services for Boston firefighter Michael Kennedy who died on March 26 along with Lieutenant Edward Walsh while operating at a structure fire at 298 Beacon Street in the City of Boston. As you can see from the photos the brotherhood of the fire service is unlike any other profession. This special bond that most individuals not affiliated with the fire service will never experience brought firefighters together from every region of the United States and beyond its borders. The members of the Brewster Fire Department feel privileged to be considered a part of the greatest profession in the world and to have been able to offer our condolences and respect to a true American hero. May Lieutenant Walsh and Firefighter Kennedy rest in peace and may God bless their families.
