Brewster Firefighters Receive Permanent Status

Our organization is pleased to announce that on August 13 Firefighter/Paramedic Joseph Cox, Firefighter/Paramedic Michael Gerlach, and Firefighter/Paramedic Matthew Tucker completed their one-year probationary period and became permanent career members of the Brewster Fire Department.  During their first year of employment these members received close monitoring by their respective shift Captains including daily training on department policy, standard operating guidelines (SOG), community familiarization, apparatus and equipment use, and EMS operations. In addition, these personnel were evaluated by their first line supervisors at six and twelve month intervals to ensure all probationary requirements were met prior to receiving permanent status.

Our organization would like to welcome these personnel as permanent members to our career staff and wish them great success in their future careers as Brewster Firefighters.
