Brewster Fire Department Responds to Eastham for Mass Casualty Motor Vehicle Accident

 

On Tuesday July 16 at 10:33 a.m. Ambulance 242 and Heavy Rescue 241 were dispatched to the intersection of Herringbrook and McCoy Road in Eastham to assist with the extrication and transport of multiple victims of a serious motor vehicle accident. On arrival at the scene, Heavy Rescue 241 and Deputy Chief Harrison (Car 231) were requested to establish a landing zone behind Eastham Town Hall to coordinate the landing of two Med flight helicopters that were responding to airlift two seriously injured Priority One patients to Boston area hospitals. As Brewster Ambulance 242 arrived in Eastham they were redirected to cover an additional emergency medical call that ultimately involved patient transport to Cape Cod Hospital.  All Brewster units were placed back in service at approximately 12:30 p.m.
